The Most Common Allergens

The most typicla sources of allergies are:

  • Milk products
  • Eggs
  • Peanuts and tree nuts (such as almonds, cashews andwalnuts)
  • Fish (such as bass, cod and flounder)
  • Shellfish (such as crab, lobster and shrimp)
  • Soy
  • Wheat
  • Corn

Foods that are causing your reactions may include a substance included on these lists or any other substance you come in contact with on a regular basis. The foods you eat daily or crave are likely candidates to be causing your symptoms!

Ingestant Allergens

  • Food — egg mix, dairy, fruit, vegetable (corn, garlic), sugar mix, iron mix (meats), vitamin A mix, minerals mix, salt mix, grain mix, yeast mix, vegetables, chemical mix, turkey/serotonin, dried bean mix, chocolate, nut mix-1 & nut mix-2, fish and shell fish, vegetable fat & animal fat, amino acids 1 & 2, starch mix, turkey (carbohydrates), phenolics, purines
  • Drink — soda, alcoholic, water, coffee, tea, milk-based, food coloring, alcohol
  • Vitamins, water soluble B’s, C; fat soluble A, D, E, F
  • Minerals — Zn, Mg, Ca,
  • Drugs
  • Food additives, food coloring/food additives, artificial sweeteners, caffeine, spice mix 1 & 2, whiten-all, fluoride; gum mix; gelatin; pesticides; commonly used additives are as follows: acetic acid, agar, aldicarb, alginates, aluminum salts, corn products, carob, propylene glycol, sodium aluminum phosphates, benzoates, calcium propionate, calcium silicate, carbamates, ethylene gas, food bleach, formic acid, malic acid, mannan, MSG, salicylic acid, succinic acid, sulfites, talc, and tartaric acid. Yellow and red dyes are in soft drinks, margarine, orange drinks, cheese, cakes, cookies, candies, crackers, ice creams, and syrups.
